CSi Case File #192

This week has flown by - had to work one day but it wasn't too bad.  Been at the Y for about 10-11 classes throughout the week and am SORE!  But had several people come up to me and say - man you are really loosing inches!  I haven't tried to really loose weight - but have lost several pounds and I know gained alot of muscle!  And the places I'm sore are where I need to loose weight so that's probably good too.  Took Y- double step for the first time today!  Have been doing Y-step for awhile but never tried the double step - was fun but definitely need more practice!  It moves!  I think someone who had a fitbe clocked 5,600 step in one hour!  Well here's my take on the most recent Case File - little Gavin!  Also managed to get a blasted cold and my head is sooo full!  Hopefully all this exercise will drive it out!

Case File #191

Wow two weeks in a row - don't pass out!  Has been a busy week - mostly at the Y.  Love these classes and even more encouraged now that I can see some progress.  Otherwise just been leading the life of a busy retiree.  Been cancelled the last two weeks at work so have gotten to do some fun thing like have lunch with by best friend from fourth grade!  We went all the way through school together and it's fun getting caught up again.  Going to go see my Mom next week for a couple of days and going to meet up with another high school friend as well as a college friend (we were all really close) so excited about that.  Here's my take for the #191 challenge.

Thanks for stopping by!  Come join us over at CSI for some fun challenges!

Case File #189 and #190 - CSI

I've become horrible at keeping up with this - who would know semi-retirement could be so busy!  I go to the Y every day I'm not working or out of town - have meet some great people but most of all I can really see changes in my body.  Never really needed to loose much weight but can tell MAJOR differences in my body.  Loosing my four kid intertube and my back and shoulders are loosing fat at a great rate. I could barely do a push up when I started or a sit up and now I'm holding out through the entire class.  Love that they offer such a great variety of classes because they are really pushing me to work hard.  I'm sure I'm probably the oldest in most of the classes but I love it.  I tried a couple of the ones they consider "gold" but man those women are vicious!  God help you got there early and are standing where they consider "their spot"!  Have had them literally come in and stand right in front of me so quit that! We finally had a little good new about my grandson last week - his protein levels have finally started to come down and his blood pressure has been a little better controlled!
Please come play along with us at CSI - these case files are so fun and challenging!  I know you will enjoy them!

Here are mine for the last two weeks.

Thanks for stopping by! I'm excited to say Megan (my daughter's bff is expecting again so more baby pictures to play with!)

Case File 187 and 188

I'm out of practice with keeping up here!  Been busy at the gym.  I love the Y here - going to have a huge new one in March.  Right now there's the first of the year surge in joining so classes are crowded which mean more sweating lol!  But it's getting the job done - can see the inches falling away - especially seen alot of improvement in my back and arms.  My favorite class is the Body Pump which is totally weight lifting targeting all areas.  My Grandson is back in the hospital - hoping we are going to get some answers - poor little guy - his kidneys aren't working well - he's swollen, has high blood pressure that has been hard to control and still very weak.  Had another biopsy today and hoping to hear answers tomorrow when they get the results.
Today I have the last two weeks of Case Files for you.

And this one with one of Em's fabulous sketches!  I always love going with a sketch!

Latest CSI Case File #186

Yes I know I have been a horrible blogger but for some reason I couldn't get on to my blog.  Had a great Christmas although very tired of driving.  Went to my youngest daughter's in Houston for three days, then on to San Antonio to spend Christmas with my son.  Then made a meet trip with my oldest daughter to deliver Christmas presents to them on Sunday. So a LONG week.  I have joined the YMCA and it's really cheap!  I don't do outside working out with the cold weather so this was my option besides a gym and once I saw the price it was hands down the winner.  Anyway have started taking classes and have gotten great workouts!  I can see my body getting in better shape!  I take Zumba, Zumba step (love this one), Y-step, Body Combat (which my daughter would probably be rolling on the floor laughing at me because it's obvious I would never make a fighter), Body Pump (weight lifting and my favorite!) and today I added Cardio groove.  I'm obviously the oldest in almost all of the classes but I don't care and we are all too busy watching the instructor to pay any attention to how anyone looks!
Well here's my page.  This is Brandy's bff, Megan and her family! I've been scrapping for little Gavin since he was born and am excited to find out he will be having a little brother or sister next summer!

For any of you who follow me on facebook you know my grandson has been suffering from acute renal problems.  He's having an extremely slow recover - hardly been able to go to school for either blood pressure issues or severe headaches. Please keep him in your prayers. So hard to see this bouncing off the wall boy barely able to get around and do anything.
Thanks for stopping by - will try to do better from now on.

SATW and Creative Embellishments

Creative Embellishments has paired  up with SATW to take their challenge.  For my page I took my inspiration from several things here - the color, the beach and the word explore.
Here's my take -photo of little Gavin (adopted grandbaby through my daughter's bff's baby) during a day we spent with him on the beach of Galveston.

And some close ups of the chipboard.  Here I have used some TH distress stain in tarnished brass.  Then I added some Jenni Bowlin Chicken Feed to make it look more rustic.  The flourish I treated with Heidi Swapp's Citron.

The chipboard and stamps I have used are as follows:

Creative Embellishments

Today I'm up on the Creative Embellishments blog.  I wanted to share a couple of cards I made with some of the chipboard.  First up is the birthday card using the Pansies chipboard.  I painted them and then used some darker paint to add some dimension. For the second card I used some of the Flourish Butterfly Set 2  together with part of a Moroccan Lattice Panel set.  I've show the chipboard I used and the links to the store.
